Mrs. Teng, with her husband and 2 children lives in Pudamkhuan village, high up in the Bolaven Plateau of Laos.

She originally settled down in the area in 2000,  and has grown coffee for 16 years. Some parts of the farm she grew from scratch herself, and some she inherited. Ms. Teng grows her coffee under the gentle shade of trees,  and takes care to use only natural farming methods on her property.

In her free time, Mrs. Teng loves listening to Lao country songs, spending time with her family, and the odd game of Petanque. She sometimes has a few beers or soft drinks with her favourite foods - bamboo soup, grilled chicken and papaya salad.
